Galleries and the Store at MIA

Museum admission is free every day, thanks to the generosity of MIA members and supporters. Special exhibitions and some events require tickets, which you can purchase in advance by buying tickets.

The museum is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and July 4.

Museum Library

Established with the museum’s opening in 1915, the MIA’s Art Research & Reference Library is one of the Midwest’s premier research centers dedicated to the study of art. Learn more »

Purcell-Cutts House (off-site)

The Purcell-Cutts House, located at 2328 Lake Place in Minneapolis, is a masterpiece of Prairie School architecture.

The house is open to the public the second weekend of each month and special tours are given throughout the holiday season. Learn more »

Wells Fargo Center (off-site)

Located between 6th and 7th streets along Marquette Avenue in Minneapolis, the Wells Fargo Center presents rotating exhibitions devoted to aspects of Modernism. The exhibitions are free and open to the public, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., weekdays only. Learn more »
