Join us for our free monthly event for families, kids, and the young at heart. On the second Sunday of every month, the museum is filled with hands-on art activities, storytelling, artist demonstrations, gallery hunts, self-guided tours, and more—all inspired by Mia’s incredible collection.

Beat the heat and stop by Mia to get inspired. Make unique accessories in our studios with teaching artist Maya O’Reilly. Akiko Ostlund leads a puppet show, then helps you create your own puppet. Participate in a movement activity and enjoy story time with The Children’s Theatre Company.

Say “see ya!” to summer with fun performances and art making. Create instruments in the studios with Laura Wennstrom and enjoy performances outside in Target Park.

October 11 | Spooky Couture
Celebrate spooky season in style as we celebrate our “Paris Couture” exhibition, spooky season, and Hispanic Heritage Month. There’ll be dance demos and fun arts and crafts for the whole family.
November 8 | Inside Out
What makes you tick? We’ll take a closer look at our bodies and emotions this family day. Come check out skeletons in “Bare Bones: Skeletons in Japanese Art,” make a skeleton craft, listen to a story, dance, and more.
December 13 | Self Portrait
Have you ever made a self-portrait? Out of clay? Collage? Now’s your chance to reflect on what makes you special this year—and in the years to come.
