The daughter of a blues musician, Chastity Brown is a beloved singer-songwriter in Minneapolis with the seemingly innate ability to turn complex themes into captivating melodies. Raised in Tennessee, her folk-influenced first album Back-Road Highways produced a hit single, critical acclaim, and tours with Dar Williams and Leon Russell. Her latest, Sing to the Walls, is a love album inspired by post-pandemic themes of togetherness and the poetic empowerment of Zora Neale Hurston’s Harlem Renaissance novel Their Eyes Were Watching God.
