Mia’s 2022 Holiday Gift Guide

By Molly Lax //

Ready or not, the holiday shopping season is here. We’ll make it easy: the Store at Mia has something unique and creative for everyone on your list. Here’s what we’re excited about this year.

Inspired by Botticelli

In celebration of the major exhibition “Botticelli and Renaissance Florence: Masterworks of the Uffizi,” the Store at Mia is featuring a wide variety of related items from around the world.

A Venus sleeping mask for a real beauty rest.

We collaborated with Minnesota-based Helen Wang Jewelry to create a collection of elegant items inspired by the exhibition. Her work brings the splendor of Botticelli to the everyday with beautiful necklaces, earrings, and more.

For the armchair traveler, choose from our selection of books on Florence, Botticelli, and Renaissance art.

Go playful with a Birth of Venus sleeping mask or a cheeky seashell T-shirt (we think Botticelli would approve).

Share the scents of Florence with this in-store exclusive: luxurious soaps, hand creams, perfume, and bath products from Santa Maria Novella, which traces its origins to Dominican friars in the year 1221 and was the preferred perfumer of Catherine de Medici. Mia is one of only a few places in Minnesota to carry these products.

For the Kids

Kids of all ages, of course.

How to ride in style.

Encourage creativity with felted finger puppets and playhouses from The Winding Road. They’re soft and easy for anyone to enjoy.

They can travel wherever their imaginations take them on a red rocking toy designed by Langhetta Italy. No refueling necessary!

For animal-loving kids, check out these books and cuddly stuffed animals.

Minnesota Made

Shop locally with these picks from Minnesota brands and artisans.

Jewelry by Indigenous makers include beaded earrings  by Lillie Nell and silver work by Josef Reiter.

True Hue upgrades the scented candle experience with Fir Needle, Spiced Mule, and other varieties.

Trim someone’s tree with delightful Dala horses and Minnesota sugar cookie ornaments from Sew Much More.

Food for the Holidays

Food is one of the best parts of the holidays, especially when someone else makes it. Help them out here.

The cookbook from the James Beard Award-winning kitchen of Minneapolis’ Owamni.

Jewish diasporic and African-Atlantic cuisines combine deliciously in the new recipes of Koshersoul. Also, this bagel-inspired menorah needs to be seen (and lit) to be believed.

Other cookbooks include classic Italian recipes, easy vegan dishes, and Indigenous cuisine from star chef Sean Sherman. If you’re in a cookie rut, try 100 new cookie recipes this year and thank us later (with cookies).

Bring something new to the holiday table with drip-decorated ceramics from Loliva. This blue and white pitcher is perfect for the holidays and a year-round place at any table.

Level Up your Gifts

Take things to the next level with easy extra touches that make any gift feel extra special.

Sneak a little snack into stockings. We’ve got everything from fun popcorn flavors to flavorful chocolate bars.

Gourmet popcorn, always in season.

Warm their hearts by writing a note on colorful stationery.

To wrap it all up, slip gifts into a Baggu bag for a colorful and reusable wrapping option, or add an ornament to the wrapping along with a gift tag.

Support the Museum

Every purchase at Mia supports the museum, and members save 10 percent. Thank you for supporting Mia this holiday season!
