<p><span style="font-size: x-large;">“Tibetan Buddhist Shrine Room: The Alice S. Kandell Collection” includes more than two hundred gilt-bronze sculptures, paintings, silk hangings, and carpets that were created in Tibet between the 1300s and early 1900s. </span></p>

<p>“Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys” highlights nearly 100 works by Black diasporic artists. The exhibition opens March 9, 2025.</p>

Vitality Arts: Exploring Pastels: Intro to Pastel Drawing

<p>Join visual and teaching artist Sophia Weisensel in this hands-on, five-session workshop designed to introduce you to the vibrant world of pastel drawing. Whether you&#8217;re a beginner or looking to expand your artistic skills, this workshop will guide you through the fundamental techniques of pastel art, including creating expressive lines and dynamic compositions, blending, and layering.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll also have the opportunity to explore the galleries and connect with Mia’s collection for inspiration. See how artists have used pastels throughout history, and gain a deeper appreciation for why pastel works are often referred to as paintings.</p>
<p>Come explore the rich, colorful possibilities of pastels and discover your own creative potential!</p>
