Get to know us, and each other, at a new series of free Thursday evening events for adults—featuring live music, art making, special programs, and unique food and drink.

With generous support from the Mark and Mary Goff Fiterman Fund, the Friends of the Institute present &#8220;Patricia Michaels: 40 Years of Waterlily &#8221;
For over 40 years, Patricia Michaels has been producing one-of-a-kind haute couture that transcends cultures and defies fashion trends. Growing up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, she was surrounded by beauty—in culture, landscape, and art, all which greatly influenced her design aesthetic. Her Native American culture is deeply rooted in New Mexico, and within her Taos Pueblo culture. She draws inspiration from nature and her Native roots and named her company, PM Waterlily, after her Native name, vowing to keep her traditions alive through the interconnectedness of her fashions. In this respect, Patricia became a forerunner in the fashion industry for practicing cultural sustainability. All are custom made at Patricia’s Taos, New Mexico studio.

Join us for our free monthly event for families, kids, and the young at heart. On the second Sunday of every month, the museum is filled with hands-on art activities, live music, dance performances, artist demonstrations, family tours and more — all inspired by Mia’s incredible collection.
A free day of family fun for kids and their grown-ups, presented by 89.3 The Current. Featuring musical performances, hands-on activities, engaging experiences with station hosts, and plenty of surprises along the way. Rock the Cradle has something for the whole family.

Show off your best bike pose in our photo booth and indulge in tasty food truck offerings. In the event of inclement weather, we&#8217;ll move the activities indoors; bike racks will remain available in the courtyard. Please bring your own bike lock.
