Power of Vision: Mural on the Ave
Power of Vision: Mural on the Ave, 2019
In 2019, Mia—in partnership with Hope Community—worked with Project for Pride in Living (PPL) and a cohort of 10 artists to create a 4,000 square foot mural on Franklin Ave. The aim was to use art as a tool for building community, empathy, and compassion. Through listening sessions, interviews, many community conversations and more, the artists worked together to create a mural that highlights the history, voices, and priorities of Phillips communities.
