Bus Transportation Grants

The Friends of the Institute and Mia are pleased to offer bus transportation grants for K–12 schools. These grants are made possible by the Friends, generous donors, and Mia operating funds. They’re intended to help support transportation costs to Mia so students can participate in Art Adventure and guided tours, as well as Discovery Day programs.

We’ve increased the grant to provide $300 per bus for the 2026–27 school year, with a maximum of two buses per school. These funds are intended to defray transportation costs related to school group visits to Mia. After your visit, we’ll send the grant payment directly to the school or district office.

We’ll notify you about your grant award on a rolling basis beginning in September 2026.

We encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as the schedule fills up quickly. The earlier you apply, the better the selection of tour dates and times. Guided tours and Discovery Day field trips covered by bus grants need to occur by Friday, May 28, 2027.
