Art in Bloom 2026

Join the Friends of the Institute and celebrate spring at Mia during Art in Bloom! Presented by the Friends, this year’s four-day festival takes place April 23–26, 2026.

Free and open to everyone, Art in Bloom showcases imaginative floral interpretations of selected works of art from Mia’s permanent collection, created by more than 100 individual and commercial florists. Experience the floral beauty and fragrance throughout the museum, take a free guided tour, and enjoy family-friendly activities.

Floral Artists

Pedestal Floral Artists Registration

Pedestal Floral Artists create fresh floral displays interpreting a curator-chosen work of art from Mia’s collection. The flowers and paired art are on view throughout the museum during Art in Bloom. Interested in participating? Email us for more information. Registration is open November 18–December 19, 2025, at noon.

Commercial Floral Artists Registration

More than 20 Commercial Florist Artists will be interpreting this year’s signature piece, with displays throughout the museum. If you’re a commercial florist interested in participating, email us for more information.

About the Friends

The Friends of the Institute is one of the oldest and most active museum volunteer organizations in the nation. Since 1922, proceeds generated by the Friends have been used for artwork acquisition and conservation, youth and adult education, and museum upkeep, renovation, and expansion.
