Become a Friend

The Friends of the Institute are dedicated to supporting and enhancing the collection, programs, and influence of Mia.

The Friends provide members with unique opportunities to learn, volunteer, and enrich the entire community with the gift of art. Participate at any level, have fun, and make friends along the way.

What We Do

  • • Support museum-wide initiatives, special exhibitions, and art acquisition
  • • Produce Art in Bloom, the Friends signature fundraiser and community rite of spring
  • • Sponsor monthly lectures that are free and open to the public
  • • Provide youth and adult education through outreach to diverse communities
  • • Provide busing grants so thousands of K-12 students can visit the museum annually
