Art in Bloom 2025

Join the Friends of the Institute and celebrate spring at Mia during Art in Bloom! Presented by the Friends, this year’s four-day festival takes place April 24–27, 2025.

Free and open to everyone, Art in Bloom showcases imaginative floral interpretations of selected works of art from Mia’s permanent collection, created by more than 100 individual and commercial florists. Experience the floral beauty and fragrance throughout the museum, take a free guided tour, and enjoy family-friendly activities.

Party in Bloom

You’re invited to Party in Bloom on Friday, April 25, from 6 to 10 p.m. Enjoy a preview of the pedestal floral art that will enhance the museum during this much-loved annual event. Arrive in a shower of lights and flowers, then savor champagne, appetizers, and music in Latin American fashion with a seated dinner to follow. Complimentary valet and a hosted bar are included with your ticket.

The Art of Designing a Brand with Ashley Fox

Join us on Thursday, April 24, at 6 p.m. as Ashley Fox guides us through the creative process that has kept her in the wedding floral and editorial styling business for 17 years. She’ll share her stories and floral photos.

Friends Membership Art in Bloom Open House

Stop by the Well Fargo Community Room on Wednesday, April 23, between 2 and 4 p.m. for refreshments and a snack while getting a sneak peek at floral arrangements in the galleries just after they are set up. This event is open only to Friends of the Institute.

Pedestal Floral Artists create beautiful fresh floral displays interpreting a curator-chosen work of art from Mia’s collection. The flowers and paired art are viewed in galleries throughout the museum during Art in Bloom. Pedestal Floral Artist registration for 2025 is closed. Email us to be added to the mailing list for 2026 participation.

About the Friends

The Friends of the Institute is one of the oldest and most active museum volunteer organizations in the nation. Since 1922, proceeds generated by the Friends have been used for artwork acquisition and conservation, youth and adult education, and museum upkeep, renovation, and expansion.
