Art in Bloom 2024

Art in Bloom, the annual celebration of art and flowers, presented by the Friends of the Institute, will take place April 25 – April 28, 2024. We are excited to be celebrating our 40th anniversary this year!

Free and open to the public, Art in Bloom exhibits imaginative floral interpretations of selected works of art from Mia’s permanent collection, created by more than 100 individual and commercial florists.

Over the course of the four-day festival, everyone is invited to experience the floral beauty and fragrance throughout the museum, take a free guided tour, and enjoy family activities for our younger guests. Admission to the museum will remain free during Art in Bloom.

Support the Friends Mission

Although your admission to Art in Bloom and Mia is always free, your generous contributions directly support the Friends mission of enhancing and sustaining Mia’s collections, exhibitions, and programs. Art in Bloom is our largest annual fundraiser and we welcome your generous support!

Pedestal Floral Artist Registration

Floral artists provide the beautiful sights and fragrant scents of spring during Art in Bloom. Registration for Pedestal Floral Artists (PFAs), who will be assigned by a lottery system to interpret individual works of art in the museum using fresh flowers, will begin November 28th. Mark your calendar. Although spots are limited, and we often have a waiting list, we welcome you to register your interest in joining us as a PFA for 2024. Send any questions you have to now. Or, if you’re familiar with the process, you can register here beginning November 28. Note: Registration closes December 15th at noon.
