About the Artist
Olivia Levins Holden (She/ They) is a queer, mixed Boricua muralist, organizer, artist and arts educator, living on Dakota land in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her work draws from community conversations and people’s history to create collaborative public art, and explores many ways that the arts can tell our stories, plant seeds, combat toxic narratives and decolonize through truth-telling. She has created and shown work in Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Minneapolis, and California. Olivia is a member of artist collectives including Creatives After Curfew, and is one third of Studio Thalo, a small collectively-run art studio in Minneapolis that opens its doors to artists and organizations at the intersection of arts and collective liberation.
